Parking in the middle of Woodward had been part of
Ferndale's character for decades. We were one of two
local communities (Lincoln Park the other)
with
this
unique parking feature. The state (who
controlled
the roadways)
had been trying to stop this for years.
Finally in 1990 it was agreed to stop and the
lots were
gone by Summer 1991.
